Who says men don’t have to worry about their outfits or how they look while attending a wedding? Well, we know you get equally worried as the women in the house and when it your brother’s wedding and you have to be the best man at his wedding, you have definitely got all the reasons to think about what you should actually be wearing.
And considering how Indian aunts think, there are higher chances that everybody will be having eyes more on you than your brother since you are the next prospective groom in the family. We know you have lots of arrangements to take care of rather than sitting and thinking about the style of your dress, but you cannot deny that it is really important too and you cannot leave this one thing for the last moment.
Let us make it easier for you in picking up the right outfit style for you amidst everything else that goes on in a big fat Indian wedding.

Shervani: This is the most obvious and convenient pick. If you are not somebody who likes to experiment much and want to go for a tradition look then shervani is your best bet. Go for something in gold or black (if you don’t mind wearing black to wedding) and complete your look with accessories. Pick a stole or pagdi in contrasting color (a Punjabi wedding would just not be complete without it), or you can wear a multi-string pearl neckpiece (if you are looking to add a royal touch to your attire).
Bandgala: There are many options for you when it comes to wearing a bandgala also. Get yourself a properly tailored bandgala that would fit you and pair it up with Jodhpuri pants. If you have a bit healthy body shape, then we would suggest you to avoid the contrasting colors and go for a monochrome look. In fact, if it is a daytime event then you can add a casual touch and wear it with chinos or breeches. And when it comes to complementing footwear to your look, juttis and Kohlapuris are your best bet.
Kurta-Pyjama: It is a really common attire in North Indian weddings and you can certainly choose to wear kurta pyjama in one of the functions. Choose a monochrome style and wear a Nehru jacket (patterned or plain) on it with a pocket square and you would get a perfect indo-western look for yourself. And if you are really open to experimenting then go for a dhoti with the kurta (you can get many semi-stitched modern styled dhotis). Just make sure that the length of your kurta is neither too short nor too long.
Tuxedo: Nothing makes a man look more dashing than a well-tailored suit. Go for a black textured satin with flapless pockets and a shawl collar. Match it up with a crisp white shirt. As for your suit color – go for either grey or black as they both look classic and suit almost everybody. And if you would just decide to go for a three-piece and pair it with a black bow-tie or slim neck tie, you are surely going to woo all the ladies at the wedding.
